Friederike Vollert - Recorder
Friederike Vollert studied recorder with Prof. Myriam Eichberger at the Hochschule für Musik FRANZ LISZT in Weimar and continued her master’s studies at the Universität der Künste Berlin Arts with Susanne Fröhlich and Prof. Christoph Huntgeburth. Her education was supported by various scholarships and awards: she was, among others, a finalist at the renowned “Musica Antiqua 2017” competition in Bruges and received the “EUBO Development Trust Prize” as the most promising European artist.
As a versatile recorder player, Friederike Vollert combines historical performance practice with contemporary forms of expression and is constantly seeking new perspectives.
In addition to giving solo recitals, chamber music is a central focus of her concert activities. With her Ensemble Interchange, which received a scholarship from the Deutscher Musikrat in 2024, she brings together original compositions from the Baroque era with her own arrangements and contemporary music. She is a founding member of the baroque orchestra Weimar Baroque.
She also regularly performs as a guest with various chamber ensembles, orchestras, and vocal groups at renowned national and international festivals and concert series. Recordings featuring her playing have been released by Deutsche Harmonia Mundi and cpo.
She teaches recorder at the Hochschule für Musik Nürnberg and leads the recorder class at the Berufsfachschule für Musik in Dinkelsbühl.
